In a message dated 4/20/2005 1:19:53 P.M. Eastern Standard Time,  
 writes:

Ticks  must be attached to you for several hours before they
can transmit  diseases.


It is my understanding that ticks must be attached for 24 hours before they  
can transmit disease. Anyone know for sure?
