This AM at Hashawa, there were 5 fabulous birders - Jerry, Laura, Bill, Dave
and Kay. The following 47 species were located, identified, seen, heard or
otherwise noted:

Canada Goose
Mallard (w/nest right near the boardwalk)
Wood Duck
Mourning Dove
Belted Kingfisher
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Pileated Woodpecker
White-eyed Vireo
Blue Jay
American Crow
Fish Crow
Tree Swallow
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Barn Swallow
Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
House Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (several singing)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Eastern Bluebird
American Robin
Gray Catbird
Northern Mockingbird
Brown Thrasher
European Starling
Northern Parula
Myrtle Warbler
Prairie Warbler
Ovenbird (1st of year)

On the way home, Laura and Jerry stopped at Westmister Res. and saw 3 Common
Loons (one yodeled briefly) and heard a Yellow Warbler. There were a lot of
swallows out there that looked mostly to be Tree. Also had a kestrel near
Winter's Mill H.S.
    Jerry
