A few more migrants in the rain this morning at Rock Creek(Nature Center and environs). Wood Thrush now in most places in the park, as well as 1singing Veery. 2 Blue-headed Vireos (also singing) were new, as was a male Yellow Warbler to add to B&W, Myrtle and Ovenbird. Sparrow species still outnumbering warbler species with juncos still around, as well as a few Swamp Sparrows. The most numerous species was easily Ruby-crowned Kinglet which were everywhere. Non-passerines included flyover Mallard and Common Loon at the maintenance yard.
