A damp wander in lousy light along the pathway from the consesssion  stand to 
the dam this morning from 7 to 9 a.m.  Had a COMMON LOON in near  full 
alternate plumage, 5 Double Crested Cormorants (4 flyovers and one on the  lake), a 
GREEN HERON, 2 Ruddy Ducks (a pair, the male nearly in full breeding  finery), 
2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, a singing YELLOW WARBLER, a (yellow) Palm  Warbler 
and at least 50 wildly foraging Yellow-rumps.  Also saw and heard  my first 
BALTIMORE ORIOLE of the year.
