Although the birds seemed to be few and far between, the Baltimore Bird Club Granite Walk was pretty good. We tallied fifty-four species in four and a half hours with six warbler species. Highlights included two Great Horned Owl fledglings (both heard, one sighted), a CERULEAN WARBLER (high in the trees on the Howard County side of the river), NORTHERN PARULA (close-ups from bridge), many YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, PALM WARLBER, BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER, AMERICAN REDSTART, LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH (excellent territorial behavior).
