The Whip-poor-will returns to Mill Hill Road one more year.  About 5:25 AM today Gwen and I heard the Whip singing, flying around just south of the house.  If the new road goes through this may be last year for the Whips here since the four lane road is planned to go through the nesting habitat.  Such a shame and shame on the commissioners if they let this happen.

Yesterday afternoon I had my first Chimney Swift for the season.  Migrants continue to arrive so watch the skies.
