Hi Folks,

It's next to impossible for me to stay inside this time of year , even on a
rainy day. Yesterday and today I've made the rounds in four different
counties. Some of the birds seen:

airport (Relay CE atlas block):

Mears Farm (PVSP) with Charlie Kucera:
Am. Kestrel--1 female
RING-NECKED PHEASANT--one male; a tame bird. While I was viewing it from
the road, it walked down toward me--so close that I could no longer focus it
in the binoculars. Charlie got some photos. Origin unknown.
Barred Owl--1 calling spontaneously from back woods
House Wren--2 or 3
Hermit Thrush--2 together back in woods
Brown Thrasher--2
Prairie Warbler--at least 4 singing in the "back 40"
Common Yellowthroat--3

    UMBC with Charlie Kucera:
Green Heron--1
Black Vulture--1; very uncommon here
House Wren--they're back , and will probably soon occupy all 6 woodland
nestboxes
Gray Catbird--2 or 3
Yellow Warbler--2
Ovenbird--1 (very uncommon here)
Common Yellowthroat--2
Savannah Sparrow--6--definitely moving through

Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
