Our first Bobolinks of the season were seen this morning at Cromwell Valley Park. Only four were
seen. They were near the horse pasture, high in the trees. Baltimore Orioles were also seen along
Minebank Run( at least four ) as well as two Orchard Orioles.

Other birds of interest seen today, Sunday May 1st.
Yellow Warbler - 5
Black and White Warbler - 2
Common Yellowthroat - several heard
Northern Parula - several heard
Northern Rough-winged Swallow - a pair seen entering and exiting an active Kingfisher nest!
Brown Thrasher - a pair seen mating on the ground!
Eastern Kingbird - 2
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers - 8 to 10, two nests nearly completed

Cromwell Valley Park is still closed to the public and is scheduled to re-open July 1st. However,on
Saturday, May 28th the local Audobon Society chapter is sponsoring Oriole Day at the park, so we
encourage everyone to come and see the stream restoration work that has been done during the
park's closure.
