I was at Lake Roland from 5:30-8:00 this afternoon/evening and had a few
birds worth mentioning.

BCN Heron: One at the falls
Wood Duck: 2 pairs seen...no chicks.
Bald Eagle: Adult. Flew low and perched over the main trail. Left due NE.
Wood Thrush: Seen low near the light rail tracks
RC Kinglet: At least 3, near mudflats
WE Vireo: 1 off of the Main trail
BG Gnatcatchers: Seemingly everywhere
American Redstart: Hign berm area overlooking north end of park
Black and White Warbler: Same location
N. Parula: Near falls
Yellow Warbler: Near falls
YR Warbler: Near falls

At the mudlats:
Killdeer, L. Yellowlegs, Sol. Sandpiper
peep sp.: 1 (I didn't lug my scope out there today!)

Plenty of Chimney Swifts and Barn Swallows too. Barns are probably nesting
under the light rail bridge.
