Hi Folks!

On Saturday 4/30 when I went to fill my feeder in the afternoon, a CLAPPER RAIL, jumped out of the daylily row. When I went to see where it flew, a SEASIDE SPARROW scurried in the flower box along the boardwalk. The Clapper Rail was my second for the yard with a previous bird in the same place in early May 1994. The Seaside is the 4th record for the yard...always late April-early May when the big flight of migrants hits the area.

Yesterday, Monday 5/2 I had a singing Blue-headed Vireo in the tree [I have only one tree]; better yet was a GRAY CATBIRD! The catbird is only the second for my yard in nearly 20 years of looking.

Good Birding!

Jim
