A brief, late-morning swing through the Capitol grounds yielded a modest
assortment of migrants -- a singing PURPLE FINCH was flitting around the
treetops of the West Front Lawn, and GRAY CATBIRDS, E. TOWHEES, WOOD
THRUSH, and OVENBIRD were foraging along the shrub/lawn borders. At the
Summer House, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT and BLACK-THROATED BLUE WARBLER were
skulking around.

LINCOLN’S SPARROW, FIELD SPARROW, and N. WATERTHRUSH were foraging in the
lawn of the quad just north of the Russell Senate Office Building.
NASHVILLE and HOODED WARBLER were at the north end of Union Plaza, between
Louisiana and Delaware Ave.
