Rock Creek was much quieter this morning than reported recently.  Best bird I came across in my 2hrs there was a Lincoln's Sparrow sunning itself in the maintenance yard, giving good looks.  Fair numbers of warblers around but mostly heard - Blue-winged (MY), Hooded (Ridge), Blackburnian (Picnic Area #20), Magnolia, Worm-eating and Tennessee (Nature Center), Nashville (equitation field), Chestnut-sided (MY); and also Parula, Redstart, Yellowthroat, Ovenbird and plenty of Yellow-rumped.
 
Also around: Swamp Sparrow (1 in MY), Indigo Bunting (1, equitation field), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (several on Ridge), several Blue-headed Vireos and of course Red-eyed, and Scarlet Tanager singing in a number of places.  Wood Thrush very vocal but no Catharus thrushes around that I could see, and apart from Great-crested, no flycatchers.  Still some Blue Jays flying north overhead but many fewer than recently, and Ruby-crowned Kinglet numbers down a lot.  Quite a lot of White-throated Sparrows still around.
