Yesterday (Thursday) a red-headed woodpecker
came to feed at my sunflower seed feeder !  I've only
seen a RHWP in my backyard twice before in 18 years
- both times in early May ...

I guess they migrate and this one was just passing through ...

But with all of the hoopla over the Ivory-bill, it was
GREAT to see this bird with plumage just as striking !
