If you work in downtown Baltimore, this is the day to take a walk on your
morning coffee break.

Heard/seen in balto this a.m.:

Ovenbirds:

1. near Phillips seafood (facing road, not the harbor)(heard only)
2. In Alley next to McDonalds and up from CVS on E. Baltimore St. and E.
Lombard. I managed to find the bird, it was foraging for food next to the
newly paved parking lot South of McDonalds.
3. In large open area with trees between the Sun Life Insurance building
(20 S. Charles St.), the Morris Mechanic Theater, Kaiser Permanante and the
Federal courthouse heard an ovenbird. (heard only)
4. Holocaust Memorial. The bird was foraging for food on the ground.

Black throated blue:

I heard a black-throated blue in the little forested alleyway near Au Bon
Pain near the Alex Brown Building. 10 N. Calvert is address. Could not
find it.

Black throated green: (heard)

At the holocaust memorial. White throated sparrows singing there as well.

Sadly the following birds were victims of windows in last night's migration:

1. Baltimore Oriole, beautiful male, 100 Light St.
2. 2 ovenbirds, 750 E. Pratt St.
3. There was also a stunned ovenbird at 750 E. Pratt St. near the entry.
It seemed to be flying after a while so hopefully it will be OK.

Yesterday a.m. Balto, all at 750 E. Pratt St.:

White throated sparrow 750 E. Pratt St.
Ovenbird 750 E. Pratt St.
white breasted nuthatch	750 E. Pratt St.
wood thrush 750 E. Pratt St.
Common yellowthroat 750 E. Pratt St.
