Adam - A pleasant reminder of my boyhood in Severna Park, were I (at least)
once heard a chuck from my parent's yard ... wouldn't happen today. Nice to
hear they still exist in this general area.

While patrolling the Hancock's Resolution Park on 05/11/05, myself and Park
Ranger Sue Payne came across a Chuck-will's Widow. It flew up from the
ground, beside of the trail we were on and landed on a tree about 8 feet
back. We had really nice looks at it and I was taken back by actually how
large this bird is.
