Unfortunatly, I have to work on this Sunday, but because I didn't have to get to work until 10:45am, I lest early to take a long walk around the lake. I saw a FOY House Wren, and on the opposite side of the lake where I was standing I saw a sandpiper. It didn't 'bounce' like Spotted Sandpopers do, it just stood in one place, not moving for a few minutes. And it was light gray above, not brown. It was larger than a close-by Spotted Sandpiper, with black bill that looked rather long. When I get home from work I have to look at my field guides and find out what I saw. What do you think it was?
