I new it would be a futile chase but after work I decided to see if the
Black-neck Stilts were still at the mud-flats north of North Beach. They
weren't, though a nice selection of shore birds were present.

Solitary Sand.
Lesser Yellowlegs
Spotted Sand.
Least Sand.
Semi Sand.
Semi Plover
Dunlin
Short-billed Dowitcher
Marsh Wren
Cm. Yellowthroat
Clapper Rail
Snowy Egret

On the way back to Oxford I tried for Whips in Queen Anne Co. and was
successful on Ell Downs
Rd. with one bird singing. Just a mile away in Caroline Co. Whips were
everywhere. Crossing the Tuckahoe River into Talbot Co. one Chuck was
calling on the Talbot side.

I sat outside my house last night when I got home and had a pretty good
flight overhead. Birds I could identify were (9) Swainson's Thrush (12)
Veery's (2) Spotted Sandpipers. Lots of unidentified
sparrows and warblers flew past.
