Today was a quiet day in the park, but had one really nice bird: a female BAY-BREASTED WARBLER mixed in with the Blackpolls.
Tuesday was overall birdier and had a nice mixed flock, the highlight of which was a female BLACKBURNIAN, as well as male Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Yellow, Redstart, and of course Blackpolls. Wednesday also seemed birdy, but birding was hard because I had to dodge lawnmowers--oh well, the meadow was nice while it lasted.
Pewees have also been in the park the last 3 days, with one in the same spot each time--this is the first time they've been around this spring. Wednesday produced the first Veery for the park, and I continue to regularly get Swainson's. Waiting for that Gray-cheeked (or why not Bicknell's!) . . .
