Now this is some kind of customer service!  I'm not often cheering about stuff the NPS does these days, but I approve.
Hope others can enjoy it as well.  It would be nice if there was good turnout of folks to show them we value them opening the doors early for us.  However, I think it probably has more to do with the lillies.  See below.

KENILWORTH AQUATIC GARDENS TO OPEN EARLY FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND BIRD WATCHERS 


The National Park Service will open Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens at 

6 a.m., on the following dates: June 4, July 2 and August 6, 2005.  The early hours are being offered for bird watchers and photographers wishing to see the beautiful night blooming waterlilies and other exotic plants at the park earlier than the normal opening time of 7 a.m. 


No special reservations are required.  The waterlily festival is scheduled for July 16, 2005 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  For further information, contact Park Ranger Kate Bucco at (202) 426-6905.
