Went back up to River Rd turf farm area south of Whites Ferry. First
surprise was a flock of 40+ Dunlins. Second was a single SHORT-BILLED
DOWITCHER.
The Dowitcher and Dunlins were in the plowed field opposite the turf
field that was replanted with soybeans. These are the last set of turf
fields south of Whites Ferry. The Dowitcher was near a large puddle
right next to the road and the Dunlins 150 yards or so further back.
Also, at various wet spots along this stretch were same birds as
yesterday - Semipalmated Plovers, Killdeer, Solitary and Least Sandpipers.
