Hi Bob,

This sounds like a real fun nest box trail to monitor. Your report makes me want to find a place to place boxes for PRWA's.

I am curious about your Prothontary nest box trail. How long have you been monitoring this trail and do you get Prothonotary nests every year. How many nests do you get each season?

What did you do with the cowbird in the nest?
What does save some remnants of nesting material mean?

Naturally,

I inspected eight nest boxes today and found the following:
R4 - Two warbler nestlings, one large cowbird nestling, two (probably
infertile)eggs
HH2 - Empty, save some remnants of nesting material
