While lunching on the pier near the Bond Street Wharf building a low-flying Common Loon [in adult plumage] flew from the Inner Harbor towards Fort McHenry. It must have made a u-turn came down near a marina in Canton. While in flight it appeared to be gaping. It stayed on the water for a minute then took off in a Northwest direction over the city.

In addition, an adult Black-crowned Night Heron roosted under an old peir along side of the Bond Street Wharf building.
