Today about 1:30 p.m. while on a lunch-time walk, my attention was drawn
upwards by a squawk. I looked up to see a Great Blue Heron being pursued by
a crow species. It was joined by another crow, that shortly broke off, and
landed, vocalizing, to reveal itself as a Fish Crow. While I've seen crows
harass raptors, I have never seen them do so with herons. This occurred in
Anne Arundel County, in a wilderness of vast parking lots with stray
high-rises.
