Hi all I did some Atlasing last eveing June 6 in my Queenstown SE block
added two birds to the list Great Egret first for the block
Blue winged Teal 1 Drake first for the block also

Also here for the second year and second breeding record for Queen Annes
County was a Pied Billed Grebe with 2 very young birds very protective One
adullt called them to a weedy patch were it was.

I cannot say the exact location other than between Queenstown and
Grasonvilles as there is no pubic access .

After that went to Kent Narrows to the end of wells cove Rd to look
west toward Kent Island [not in My altas Blocks] at the block jetty in main
channel . Last year I had a pair of Common Terns Try to nest on the
Jetty . Last nite several Common Terns were flying about. 1 was sitting on
the jetty in and partly hidden by a green clump of grass growing from a
crack in the block. While just from last night sighting I canot say for
sure but they appear to be trying to nest again . The sitting bird briefly
flew off but returned to the exact spot it was before.

Happy Weekend Birding
