Hello, here are two questions for the list...

My mother has an adult Cooper's Hawk successfully hunting in her yard.  This implies a bird that has potentially bred in her area.  She's never encountered the species during summer months.

First, she and I would like to learn what is generally known of Cooper's Hawks' breeding populations in Anne Arundel County.  Is the species currently known to breed within the county?  The Yellow Book suggests this.

Second, for breeding bird atlas surveyors in the Pasadena area, have you confirmed any breeding pairs of Cooper's this year?  If so, please do let us know.
