Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry.  The unanimous consensus is to
remove the empty Tree Swallow nests from the boxes, with the hope that
bluebirds occupy the boxes during the remainder of the nesting season.  I
also learned that a certain percentage of E. Bluebird eggs can be white. --

 I'm monitoring 12 bluebird nest boxes along the Blue Mash Nature Trail this
season.  Tree Swallows nested in the majority of the boxes and their young
have now fledged.  Should I remove the empty nest?  Also, one of the boxes
has an E. Bluebird sitting on 5 eggs, however, the eggs are not blue but
off-white in color.  Any idea what they may be?
