Friday, Sept.2nd was the first day of our Fall 2005 Hawk count season. This is the earliest start yet
and the low numbers reflect it. Highlight of the day was a adult male Northern Harrier (Gray Ghost)
which came in low right over the watchsite only to be chased off by the day's lone Sharpy! At least
six adult Bald Eagles were seen towards the Loch Raven Watershed area. Resident Red-tailed, Red-
shouldered and Coopers Hawks were active. Will be at watchsite on Saturday morning awaiting the
arrival of the first Broad-winged Hawk!!!
