A mid-day walk in Little Falls Park in Bethesda unexpectedly produced a
Connecticut Warbler in addition to a less surprising Northern Waterthrush
and Black-throated Green Warbler.
The Little Falls trail runs along the east side of Little Falls Parkway
between Hillandale Rd and Dorset Ave. The easiest access is to park at
Bethesda Pool at the corner of Little Falls Parkway and Hillandale Rd. The
trail starts on Hillandale Rd across the street from the back of the pool
parking lot. The Connecticut Warbler was seen in the area near the raised
manhole cover on the left side of the trail a few minutes walk down from
Hillandale Rd. This area is described in the Montgomery County site
guide, but I gave away my copy to a new birder so can't give a page
