This morning I had a productive walk in the National Arboretum. I saw 52
species, including 10 species of warblers. Most warblers were at the top
of the hill near the R St. entrance. Here are the highlights.

Warblers: Nashville Warbler, Northern Parula, Chestnut-sided Warbler,
Magnolia Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler,
American Redstart, Worm-eating Warbler, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat

Other highlights: Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Ruby-throated Hummingbird,
Eastern Phoebe, Great Crested Flycatcher, Cedar Waxwing, Swainson's
Thrush, Red-eyed Vireo, Scarlet Tanager, Field Sparrow, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak

I also had a good day for hawks; the highlight among them was an
American Kestrel.
