The park finally had a few birds in it today, though still zero warblers. Best bird was a Swainson's Thrush (wouldn't have bothered posting, except I noticed there have still not been too many thrush reports lately).
This wasn't an "obvious" Swainson's and I didn't have the easiest look, but the spotting was a little dark for Veery and the back was olive. The face pattern was not strong, but I saw just enough buff marking to convince me that it wasn't a Gray-cheeked/Bicknell's (either of which would still be a lifer for me). Swainson's was by far the most common thrush in Ft. Bayard during this spring's migration.
Also saw a female or 1st year male Baltimore Oriole.
