While out atlasing for goldfinches this morning I stopped by two reservoirs where the water level has dropped far enough to attract shorebirds.

   At Westminster Reservoir:
Canada Goose 7
Mallard 4
Green Heron 2
Killdeer 4
Spotted Sandpiper 1
Least Sandpiper 3
Ring-billed Gull 5

At Liberty Lake north of the Route 140 bridge:
Wood Duck 4
Mallard 6
Green-winged Teal 6
Great Blue Heron 1
Great Egret 3
Green Heron 1
Killdeer 6
Semipalmated Sandpiper 7
Least Sandpiper 36
Pectoral Sandpiper 1

Gasoline prices seem to be dropping rapidly. I saw a half dozen stations from Westminster to Finksburg and Gamber with regular for less than three dollars a gallon. All of these were at least thirty cents higher last weekend.
