Piney Run Park 9/19/05

   I spent three hours at Piney Run Park yesterday morning and ran into two flocks of warblers, perhaps 25 birds total, the most individuals I have seen this fall though a third of them remained unidentified. Here is a partial list of birds seen:

Unidentified small flycatcher  2
White-eyed Vireo  1 heard singing
Red-eyed Vireo  1 heard whining
Red-breasted Nuthatch  2

Magnolia Warbler  3
MYRTLE WARBLER  1, only one day off the county early arrival record
