My wife Joyce and I went to Turkey Point in Cecil county in anticipation of
some nice migrants after last night's cold front passage. We met Sean
McCandless and Park (sorry, I didn't get his last name) at the first big
meadow. They were kind enough to let us newbies tag along as they showed us
the different warblers flitting around the trees and everything else we saw.
Later, as we moved toward the hawk watch site, we me up with Rich and Don (I
think... I am bad with names- sorry guys! I will write the names down next
time!).

We saw several Broad Winged Hawks flying above the first meadow, starting at
about 7:30 AM. We also saw several flickers and several types of warblers.
At the hawk watch site we ended up seeing a total of about 150 Broad Wings,
many Sharpies and Cooper Hawks, 4 Bald Eagles, a beautiful Pileated
woodpecker, lots more flickers, and a group of ccoperative Palm Warblers in
a brushy area at the edge of the field.

I don't have an exact count of what we saw- Rich was the official hawk watch
counter for the day and he kept the tally. I'll leave the details of the
rest of the AM to Sean or Park. I did get a ton of photos.

Overall it was one of the best days of birding we've ever had. It was great
to meet these guys, and we thank you for your patience and for sharing your
knowledge with us.
