I have really been surprised at the number of Broad-winged Hawks passing
over my house in Gaithersburg today. Maybe 8 or 9 separate kettles.
Some have had 70 - 80 birds in them. I did not expect so many with the
wind coming from the SE. Even my non birding neighbors have been
impressed. Also a Redtail, 2 Coopers, an Osprey and a couple of small
gulls I could not identify because of the lighting.
