Nice Warblers at Pickering Creek on 9/25

    The Talbot Bird Club visit to the grounds of Pickering Creek Audubon
Center brought out fifteen birders.  A total of 58 species of birds were
seen (or heard).
 
    Highlights:
        Red-headed Woodpecker (first recent record for the property)
        Ruby-throated Hummingbird
        Chimney Swifts (over a dozen)
        Seven species of Warblers ( Black-throated Green, Blackburnian,
Prairie, Black-and-white,
             American Redstart, Common Yellow-throat, and  Yellow-rumped)
        Summer Tanager
        Rose-breasted Grosbeak
        Bobolinks (heard only)
        White-eyed Vireo
        and several family groups of Blue Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings.
