Hi All,

The basic plumaged male American Avocet continues at Great Oak Pond as of 5:30 PM today. Geese are increasing with ca. 2000 Canadas and 12 Snows (still two blues) around the pond, and Green-winged Teal increased to 170. Newly arrived shorebirds were 3 Least Sandpipers (2 juveniles and 1 in basic plumage), and two Black-bellied Plovers, an adult and a juvenile. Savannah Sparrows have arrived in the fields around the pond, and a sinle Barn Swallow was flynig about over the pond in the morning.

Good Birding,

Walter Ellison
