Several birders and I viewed a fairly steady stream of warblers this
morning in the maintenance yard of Rock Creek Park. The Black-throated
Blue was seen in large numbers. Other warblers included the
Black-and-White, Blackpoll, Black-throated Green, Common Yellowthroat,
Chestnut-sided (one with chestnut plainly visible), Magnolia,
Nashville, Northern Parula, and Redstart. Some other birds were the
Scarlet Tanager, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Swainson's Thrush, and
Ruby-crowned Kinglet. The Rose-breasted Grosbeak was heard often but
not seen.
