Greetings, 

I spent mid morning at Turkey Point in Cecil County on Wednesday. After a 
great migration on Monday the hawk watching on Wednesday was painfully 
slow, as the weather (wind) was not cooperating. I did find three Laughing 
Gulls over the light house though (not so common up here).  On the way out 
I ran into a mixed flock of passerines which included at least 17 species! 
Those of note included: Philadelphia Vireo (3), Red-eyed Vireo, Yellow-
throated Vireo, Myrtle Warbler, Palm Warbler, Parula, both kinglet sp., 
Brown Creeper, and a catharus thrush that lacked an eye ring. Its over-all 
drabness, largish size, and gray tail led me to conclude it was Gray-
cheeked and not Bicknell's. It vocalized a few times (like an agitated 
call) which was reminicent of the first half of a white-eyed vireo's song 
(kind-a nasaly and poly syllabic). 

I have also had a Great Egret all week in my yard (Shelter Cover, North 
East River, Cecil County)- again not-so common in this neck of the woods.
