When I was there right before the most recent deluvian epoch, it was very, 
very dry. Best birding area was up by the "new" beaver lodge, past the 
viewing platform... no idea how things might have changed with all the rain 
we've received since then... but you may want to post to the VA-Bird list.

Hi All - I remember hearing several months ago that Huntley Meadow had 
changed significantly, maybe because the beaver dam had fallen apart. Can 
anyone tell me what it's like now?  Still an interesting place to bird?
