I was just outside hanging the laundry out to dry (yes, some of us still 
practice the ancient arts), when I heard a bird calling.

"Gee", I thought, "that sounds a lot like my stuffed 'Audubon bird with real 
bird calls' Bald Eagle."  I looked up and was amazed to see 4 mature bald 
eagles soaring far overhead.  The call was repeated once more.  A fifth bird 
was there, not as high, but I could not tell what it was.  It very 
obligingly spread its tail and I was able to see that it was a red-tailed 
hawk.
Next time you hang the laundry, be sure to look up.
