Hi all,

Sorry for a late post. I was away today (Sunday) to
Red Bank in New Jersey during the 18th century
reenactment camping.
It was a busy day at South Point. Kind of reminding
you of Cape May or Turkey Point. It was fun to see a
twirl of passerines and many large birds coming in
from the north and forming a kettle or drop out to the
woods and head north again without crossing the water.
Crows did it too in one single flock, coming in from
the north, made a huge twirl of kettle and head back
north again.
It's probably too late to preserve any habitat in
that area in which I was hoping we could turn it into
a "South Point Bird Observatory" similar to Cape May.
They are everywhere covering entire South Point,
every road you see in that area are complete covered
with birds in every direction. On the roadside, in the
lawn, in the woods, in the fields, overhead.....
Kurt was with me to see incredible show.
I found the pelicans after tried over a hour in
several roads access to bayside of Newport Bay area.
It was in a private area off of Newport Bay Dr in area
called Wallops Neck which is on other side of Newport
Bay on marsh edge. I had struck out three times
looking for this birds last year where up to 24
reported there.
