Well that was a long weekend...
 
Spent Friday, Saturday, Sunday birding on the lower shore with Dave Powell,  
Jim Stasz, Mark Hoffman, and Mike Burchett.  I'm sure Mr. Worcester County  
will be producing an extensive post of our weekend's findings so I'll detail the 
 birds we saw before meeting up and after we split.  
 
Friday:
Stockton Chicken Plant w/ Dave Powell
White-eyed Vireo - 1
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 1
 
North Vaughn w/ Dave Powell and Jim Brighton
Common Yellowthroat - 5
Western Palm Warbler - 20
Yellow Palm Warbler - 5
hundreds of Myrtles
 
Sunday w/ Dave Powell:
West OC Pond 
Little Blue Heron - 1
Semi Plover - 20
Pectoral Sandpiper - 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 1
Least Sandpiper - 5
 
Field at intersection of State Line and Bethel Roads in Wicomico County,  aka 
the extreme eastern end of State Line Rd 
House Wren - 1 only one of the weekend
Yellow Palm Warbler - 2
Field Sparrow - 1
Clay-colored Sparrow - 1 - looked like an adult, could potentially winter  in 
this excellent habitat
Song Sparrow - 30
Swamp Sparrow - 15
Lincolnl's Sparrow - 1
White-throated Sparrow - 10
White-crowned Sparrow - 25!! - amazing
 
Barren Creek 
Northern Shoveler - 1
Redhead - 5 male 2 female
Pied-billed Grebe - 3
 
Spring Road
Green-winged Teal - 4
Ruddy Duck - 1
Yellow Palm Warbler - 2
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 4
 
I saw 15 species of sparrow this weekend when you include Towee and  Junco!
