I had a rare afternoon free of the salt mines, so thought I'd check
a few HowCo spots for Phil's posited flamingo, or anything else
interesting Wilma may have brought. In fact, it appears the combined
weather systems cleared out the Howard County waterfowl hotspots I
checked.

Triadephia was devoid of bird life entirely. At least at Greenbridge
and Brighton Dam. Aside from a few Blue Jays in the woods, nothing!

At Centennial, the male Redhead continues. It was near the boat ramp,
towards the dam. Otherwise, two Mallards and one white, domestic duck
were roosting at the ramp. A flock of about 30 White-throated Sparrows
were feasting on dogwood drupes between the boat ramp and concession,
with at least two Golden-crowned Kinglets also flitting about. From
the concession, three more Mallards and two Canada Geese were visible
at the wildlife end.

At that point, I decided to go some place warm and dry, which apparently
is also where the waterfowl decided to hang out today.
