Hi all --

Barry and I wen over to Violette's Locks, arriving around 10 am, in hopes of getting another look at the Neotropical Cormorant (in better light). Met a couple there who had been waiting since 7:45 with no luck. We watched until 11 am (the WW Scoter is still around, also a Horned Grebe), but no Neo, so we went over to Hughes Hollow for a bit (nothing much there, some Gadwall, Coot, Phoebe and the regulars) and back to Violette's at about noon. The birders there (including the Brodericks) had not seen any cormorant action. We left shortly afterwards.

Hopefully it will return but we understand it did not show up at its favorite log yesterday (Sunday) afternoon so it may be roosting elsewhere.
