Hey MDOSPREYers, I snapped this picture of an accipiter in
early morning light yesterday (7:30 am) in College Park
along the Paint Branch trail. I didn't get any good looks
at the bird in flight, other than the usual accipiter cues.
I can't decide if it's a juvenile Sharp-shinned Hawk (due to
pale supercilliary line) or Cooper's Hawk (due to fine
streaking that stops at the belly). Any opinions? Thanks!
