Dear MDOspreyers:
A few weeks back I was asked to write a book review for MD
Yellowthroat on Jerry Liguori's new book, Hawks From Every Angle.
The more I thought about what I wanted to say, the more my mind kept
returning to two other books I have been reading of late, Simon
Barnes's How to be a (Bad) Birdwatcher and Holmstrom et al's Flight
Identification of European Seabirds. In a lot of ways, all three of
these books talk about birding by jizz and I wanted to highlight
that relationship in my reviews.
Unfortunately, the editor felt my 5-page 3-book review was "too much
of a good thing" so it will not appear in MD Yellowthroat. I did
want to share my thoughts with as many folks as possible though so
you may now download the book reviews (in pdf format) as follows:
Go to http://www.mdosprey.org then click on the "Three Related Book
Reviews" link.
Please let me know what you think of the reviews-my e-mail address
is
Best,
Norm
