Yesterday morning I counted 20 Wood Ducks on usually not-very-exciting Greenbelt Lake. This morning that number has more than doubled - I counted 48! A single Pied-billed Grebe has also been present.
Late last week (I think it was Thursday, October 27) I saw and heard singing an Acadian Flycatcher near the lake. It seems to be gone now, however.
