Winger West just called me from Violette's Lock to say that although he has
seen several Double-crested Cormorants (adults and juveniles) this morning
after the fog lifted, there has been no sight of the Neotropic Cormorant.
He started at a site further upstream from the site next to the river with
the fire ring (where about 20 scopes were set up on Saturday), moved
downstream to the fire ring site, and then moved further downstream to the
alternate site identified by Jim Stasz on Saturday. A couple other birders
in the area have had no luck in spotting the Neotropic either.
