  Hello
I know that I should have sent this message earlier, but my toe...
No, forget that. I went to the Potomac River this morning with my buddy Steve and after walking for almost a mile, we finally saw the Neotropic Cormorant sitting with about 5 Double-cresteds. I saw that it was smaller and had a longer tail than the other ones. And there were a few other birders there who saw it too. One of them said the he had already seen it 4 times. I also saw two Common Loons in the river, on the Virginia side. Those loons, and a Red-breasted Nuthatch, 2 Golden-crowned Kinglets and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, which I saw two other birders looking up at, were year's first. The Neotropic Cormorant was obviously a lifer.
I would have a better time if it wasn't for my big toe. Ooh, it sure hurts!
OK, I'm sorry.
