Fran and I are in Fort Lauderdale helping her dad clean up after Wilma. It is indeed a big mess down here and there are piles of downed trees everywhere waiting to be picked up and carted away. The interesting thing is that every pile of trees is swarming with Palm Warblers. We've seen as many as 8 birds moving through one pile of broken branches and shattered tree trunks.

Now all of the Palms we're seeing in such numbers this trip and every Palm we've seen down here in over 20 years of Fall/Winter trips, have been Western Palms. Where do all those yellow Eastern Palm Warblers go? Does anyone know?

See y'all at the Rarities Roundup this weekend!
